Why Belize?

Belize

  • Belize dollar is pegged 2:1 to USD
  • Similar legal system utilizing English “Common Law”
  • Low cost of labor, resources and living
  • Established strong local relationships in Belize
  • Lower population and underdeveloped, ripe for an industrial boom
  • Ecofriendly, biodiverse and a tropical paradise
  • Strong tourism and popular destination for ex-pats to retire
  • The local population is growing at a rate of 1.3% with consistent migration from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Mexico.
  • Independence is the local port town where exports of crude oil, lumber, citrus, and bananas are common, as well as imports of cement, cars, and fertilizers.  With the deep water access, they offer a cruise line stop where tourists get off and enjoy local amenities like ziplining and the beach and visit the local town.  Independence is the home of fresh local fish market and a typical blue-collar/resort-supporting town.
  • Placencia is a peninsula tourist town in Southern Belize.  It is best known for its multicultural population and tourist offerings, including great fishing, scuba diving, local festivals, tours in the mountains (ecological and archeological), and a visit to a lively downtown bar and restaurant scene.

Our approach

  • Belize is currently looking for global development to assist its long-term goals.  The 2023 investment summit was a huge success according to the PM.  Belize City has often been compared to Jamaica’s Kingston being the main old time city while Montigo Bay received huge investment and the new main city for vacationers. If the new international airport is built, it would be a game changer for development in Belize, making Placencia comparable to Montigo Bay.
  • Better Belize looks to purchase a 10-acre lot in a village between Independence and Placencia called Santa Cruz.  Santa Cruz Village offers key benefits such as water, sewer, electric, a gas station, restaurants and a grocery store, and a hardware store for convenience.
